Meet Brian
I am running for Mentor City Council to provide a new perspective for the future of our community. We have an opportunity to create jobs and provide amenities that attract families and provide services for our citizens that are missing in Mentor. My wife and I have lived in our Mentor home for the past 20 years and this is where we intend to retire. We are raising our two daughters here, and it is our hope that Mentor is a place that they will choose to raise their own families in the future. I am invested in this community and I would like to use my skills to serve. In 1998, I graduated from Thiel College with a degree in Business Administration. Since that time I have become a familiar face in this community, working in the public sector for the past 20 years. As the Construction Manager for Lake County Utilities, I manage multi-million dollar infrastructure projects and I pride myself in being available 24-7 to make sure work is done effectively and efficiently. For the past 7 years, I have served on the City of Mentor's Planning Commission and I have been elected as the Chairman for the Planning Commission for the past four years. The planning commission works to review proposals for residential and commercial properties. We work to ensure that the design standards meet our code and visual expectations. In 2018, I served on the City of Mentor Charter Review Committee. I am dedicated to the future of our City and I will be here to hear your ideas and concerns. Please read about my top priorities in the Issues section. Thank you for your interest and consideration.
